A few local businesses have complained about a third-party delivery service offering to deliver their food without permission.
DoorDash, an app, allows people to order food for delivery online, using local drivers in an Uber-like setup. Restaurants like Bob’s Burgers, Knife and Pickle Barrell said they were signed up for the app without being notified or asked for permission.
…It was frustrating, she said, because the website did not have the correct menu and some customers were unhappy when their orders couldn’t be fulfilled. It also took away from the personal interaction with the customer that is part of the bistro experience, Sorteberg said.
