Wegmans is now offering a mobile delivery option for customers who don’t want to cook.
The grocery retailer is partnering with DoorDash, which is providing the last mile delivery infrastructure for the new Wegmans Meals 2GO app. Meals 2GO enables delivery of mobile orders of $20 or more for prepared meals between 11:30 a.m. and 9 p.m., seven days a week. Mobile delivery is currently available in a roughly five-mile radius of one store in Dulles, Virginia and two stores in Rochester, NY.
Customers can order sushi, pizza, wings, subs, salads, soups, hot wokery (Asian), ready-to-heat meals, desserts, and beverages. To place an order, a customer must download the new Wegmans Meals 2GO app on an iOS or Android phone. The app will indicate if delivery is an option based on the delivery destination in relation to the store location. Orders can be placed for carryout or curbside pickup with no minimum order or added fee, as well as home delivery for orders of $20 or more.
