GrubHub opens home base for a growing Philly presence

GrubHub’s history in Philadelphia began in 2017, when the food delivery company snapped up some 30 former employees of Zoomer, a Philadelphia-based competitor that folded into an asset sale that year.

Now, GrubHub has about 100 local employees and has just cut the ribbon on a 15,000-square-foot office space at the corner of 16th and Cherry streets, according to Philly. Present at the ribbon cutting were GrubHub CTO Maria Belousova and chief product officer Sam Hall, along with Philadelphia Mayor Jim Kenney.
